Addis day 1 part 2

The air here is thick with exhaust. The Ladas and trucks are the prime contributors. Addis is approximately 8000 feet in elevation. Addis is in the throws of the rainy season. The climate is otherwise dry making for a dusty muddy combination. And then there is the spice. The spice permeates the air, and oh the roast corn. They love corn and they put the spice on it and roast it along the street over tiny hibachis. It can make your eyes water. The garlic, pepper, exhaust, corn, and dust.
Today we began the discussion in order to plan the project that answers, “Can a business model be created and implemented for the ArborLoo that is both sustainable and replicable?” Tomorrow I will be visiting a site outside of Meki, looking at an HIV/AIDS project, a Global Water Initiative, more for general observation and potential input than the ArborLoo project. Then in 10 days we will go north into Tigray and visit the highland sites.
            More in a few days.
